Both of our cabins are perched on the edge of a valley covered by native bush that we have spent the last 20 years regenerating and have views of both the Tasman sea and Mount Karioi. The studio style cabins are off the grid – but with all the essential amenities to make your stay enjoyable. There are no power outlets or wifi or even cell phone reception so you can completely switch off from your busy life for the duration of your stay. Both cabins are equipped with kitchens, gas cooking and a fridge as well as all the utensils you may need. A bbq is available upon request. Linen and towels are provided.
Water for the cabins is from a nearby spring from under the mountain, beautiful to drink and soak in. The valley the cabins overlook is alive with bird song and you can hear the rocky bottom stream that flows through the middle of it. Watch the sun set and see the milky way without any light pollution in the outside bath.
We are very conscious about our environmental footprint and we try to recycle as much as possible and cut down on waste. We encourage our guests to minimise their environmental footprint as much as possible during their stay with us to keep our land beautiful. Our off the grid accommodation is an experience in itself.
